Sam is a licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist and a 500hr Registered Yoga Teacher. Sam received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Rhodes College, where she focused her studies around the psychosocial and economic influence on the rising rates of eating disorders in the United States. She also did independent research on alternative forms of treatments for at-risk teens, specifically examining the effects of Wilderness Medicine. Sam grew up in Asheville, North Carolina, where her love for the outdoors was established.
In her words:
“I believe our bodies and minds are constantly calibrating and expanding.
Somedays we need heat and power.
Other days we need ease and fluidity.
My goal is to facilitate space to allow you listen and learn what your body and mind need on a day to day basis.
Recognizing that there is no perfect formula, for each body is unique.
Therefore, each deserves the time and space to understand how to be well and be you”.
Additionally, Sam teaches yoga at Urban Yoga Charleston and HyLo Fitness. She is also a teacher with local companies Bendy Brewski and OmOutdoors. She is excited to begin small workshops and series at Lotus as well.
In her words…
“My purpose is to heal and nurture. I absolutely love what I do and it shows through my work. I have a gift and I am honored to be able to share it with the world!”
